RRT: The registry repair tool...

Harshyt Goel - 3 comments Friday, December 14, 2007 -

Most of us own either a personal desktop or a laptop, but not all of us are trained to troubleshoot our computer problems. I’m sure there have been times where you feel like throwing a sledgehammer onto your monitor because of the sheer slowness of your PC.

You have almost had your brains racked by trying to get the dinosaur machine to work faster. You have all your files backed up and literally stripped the hard disk off, but the machine just won’t move any faster. You can even get the computer to perform a minor task, then go for a coffee break, come back and the task is not even half done.

If you are in the creative line doing graphics or video editing, then the speed of your PC is crucial in your work performance. If your computer is running slower than its desired speed, you are actually losing a lot of man-hours, which can translate into a hefty loss.

A registry repair tool is one of the most important utility that any computer owner should have in their system. This utility will help to organize your files and clean up all the clutter in your Windows registry. You will agree that a clean and organized system brings more proficiency to your work.

A good registry repair tool is like an expert housekeeper. He or she knows exactly the kind of files that you need to clear up to make your desktop less cluttered and thus increasing your work performance. All the mess are kept in proper order, with the necessary files all stacked nicely and the invalid ones thrown away for good.

As a hierarchical information center that controls the daily activities of your computer, the Windows registry has to grow from time to time. It keeps track of your online activities, such as downloading movies and songs. As the days go by, your registry system will get stuffed with invalid entries, thus making it less optimized and your computer’s speed will be greatly affected by this.

A simple click is all is needed to activate a good registry repair tool. You can search and download it from the net by searching for words like ‘registry repair tool’, ‘windows registry checker’, ‘download registry scan’, etc. An initial scan will reveal the major errors in your system. You will then need to make a small purchase in order to safely delete these files and boost your PC performance.

You can find some good registry repair tool that does a clean sweep of your computer system. A scan will extract a report of the errors which is then followed by the recovery process. Within a few minutes, a fresh registry will be restored and the registry repair tool will create a system restore point. This is a backup of files that were removed in the recovery process.

Some of the The greatest qoutes ever....

Harshyt Goel - 0 comments Thursday, December 13, 2007 -

Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,
but that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.

We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.

Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.
And, as we let our own light shine,
we consciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Something's you never want to end...

Ever had the feeling when something you've gotten so attached to ends? Like a good book, or a touching movie or even a cartoon that you've been a fan of ever since you were 8!.Well I've had that so many times...its hard to count, for example-The harry potter series (I cried!), pirates of the Caribbean and how could I forget the DragonBall(Z/GT) saga. These are somethings that had imprinted me to the core of my heart and without them I feel kind of empty.

A few days back I got hold of all the Dragon Ball/Z/GT episodes and I watched them continuously for 8 hours at a stretch, and in the end (ep.64 DBGT),well i couldnt help thinking that something inside me had gone missing, Same with the Harry Potter series, just imagine that i had started reading them when i was 7, that was my first book with no pictures(oh yeah! i bawled when my mum bought it for me), and after eleven pages, i didn't know anything happening around me, i had been trapped in a life of a boy i had barely ever heard of and i was loving it!, it does hurt when i read the last page of The Deathly Hallows,I read it at least eight times before i put the book down, it was the end of an era for me.

But now i'm getting used to this stuff with so many endings of so many things nowadays, but still...ieven if they dont go on..i do and so does everyone else!

The narrations on this page are sapiently selected from the thousands of Harry Potter Storys currently available online. Many of these storys are of epic propotions and quite a lot of them take place in the future where Harry, Ron and Hermione are adults. Especially the storys from Lori Summers and Penny/Carole which I highly recommend for starters. Some of the narrations on this Post are so called Harry/Hermione-shippers. You will soon figure out what exactly that means... And if you want just a nice appetizer you can take a peek beneath.

If a certain story isn´t finished yet you can use the assembled Links of unfinished storys before the german part of this page. There are also links to some yahoo - discussion - groups for some of the most favored storylines. So much for now. I won´t bother you any further, you have a magical appointment to keep I presume ...by the way, make sure to check out the joke-section at the end.  Any comments and new suggestions of excellent fanfiction are most welcome: Harshyt.coolguy@gmail.com

Fake Tan vs. Real Tan

Harshyt Goel - 62 comments -

Many sun worshipers have changed their ways, choosing Mystic Tan over wrinkles and skin cancer. But spray-on tans can leave a disconcerting orangecicle hue.

Researchers at the University of Kentucky are perfecting a better option: a skin cream that stimulates the body's own tan-generating cells, producing the same bronzed results as a natural tan without the sun exposure.

The commercial prospects of such a lotion are likely bright, at least among Jessica Simpson acolytes. But the scientists are not interested in your vanity, they said. They hope the lotion can prevent skin cancer.

"We didn't do this to be beauty scientists -- we're trying to prevent cancer," said lead researcher John D'Orazio, an assistant professor at Kentucky Children's Hospital. "Melanoma is the fastest-growing malignancy of the past three decades. If this drug stops people from going to tanning beds, I'll be happy."

The key to the ultimate fake bake, D'Orazio said, may be forskolin, a naturally occurring plant derivative that scientists have studied since the 1970s. Forskolin spurs production of cyclic adenosine monophosphate, or AMP, a molecule that among other things activates pigment-producing cells in the skin called melanocytes.

"Adaptive tanning is an important form of protection -- it lessens the dangers of being exposed to the sun," he said. "We wanted to see if this compound could have that effect."

To test forskolin's tan-generating properties, D'Orazio and David Fisher of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute coated pale-skinned mice with a forskolin-containing lotion for three weeks. Afterward, the treated mice were considerably tanner than controls. Also, following prolonged exposure to ultraviolet light, the treated mice suffered 20 times less sunburn and DNA damage, and developed fewer tumors. The study was published this month in Nature.

"From a UV standpoint, (forskolin) is like having sunscreen right in your skin," D'Orazio said, explaining that the cream would not need to be constantly reapplied, because it enhances the body's own sun-protective mechanism of churning out pigment. Forskolin could be particularly suited to redheads and others who have a hard time tanning, he added.

Magen BioSciences of Cambridge, Massachusetts, has already expressed interest in distributing a forskolin lotion, D'Orazio said, but human trials haven't yet begun. Some scientists are skeptical that the tanner will be safe.

"When you raise cyclic AMP levels, it's a challenge to keep the reaction limited to the skin," said Norman Levine, an Arizona dermatologist. "Lots of bad things can happen when those levels go up -- cardiac output and endocrine function might be affected."

D'Orazio said his mouse trials suggest side effects in humans won't be severe -- none of the animals stopped eating or showed any other signs of ill health during the study. Forskolin could, however, have unpredictable effects on human skin, because it's much thicker than mouse skin, D'Orazio said.

Human studies testing similar compounds in humans are promising. Robert Dorr, a pharmacologist at the Arizona Cancer Center in Tucson, has tested melanotan-1, which he describes as chemically similar to a natural melanocyte-stimulating hormone but "a thousandfold more potent in terms of biological activity."

A small group of human subjects received daily injections of the hormone. They tanned twice as fast as controls and had less sun-related damage to their skin. "We showed that you could tan in response to injections of the drug, and that this was vastly enhanced by small amounts of sunlight," he said. Large-scale trials, however, are still underway at Australian company Clinuvel, and it could be years before the drug is available in the United States.

Levine also experimented with a similar compound called melanotan-II, but soon found it had a completely unexpected side effect: giving male subjects erections. Other researchers have continued testing the drug with an eye to developing it as a Viagra alternative.
