Earn Money Online With Pay Per Play
An introduction to Pay Per Play advertising - what it is, and how it can help you build up residual streams of income online
By Anna Williams
There is a new form of Internet Advertising called Pay Per Play. Pay Per Play allows you to can earn revenue from ads that play on your own sites, as well as ads that play on your referral’s sites.
What is Pay Per Play?
When someone visits a website with Pay Per Play code embedded in it, a 5-second audio ad is played. When the ad is played you get a commission. It’s as simple as that.
You are probably familiar with “Pay Per Click,” or “PPC,” where a webmaster is paid every time a visitor clicks on an ad on his site. Pay Per Play is similar, but the webmaster is paid for the times an audio ad is played for the website visitor, regardless of whether the visitor clicks on an ad or not.
One of the main advantages of Pay Per Play is that it does not take up any “screen space” or “virtual real estate.” In other words, you do not have any design issues or “trying to fit it in somewhere”. The ad is purely audio, and there are no visual elements to add to your site.
This also means that visitors will not be led off your site in the same way they are with Pay Per Click advertising. There is no link for them to click. You are paid when they audio is played.
There is, however, a “Key to Page” option, where a visitor would be told to press a certain key on his keyboard in order to get more information. If you opt in to run these types of ads on your site, you will be paid when a person “keys” to the advertiser’s website.
Pay Per Play, or PPP, is powered by a company called Voice2Page.
To set up Pay Per Play ads, all you need to do is register (which is very fast and also is free), and then place the code on the webpage or pages that you want the ads to play on. You can selectively omit pages that you do not want audio ads played on, choose to place the code only on a certain page, or choose to place the code on each web page.
One thing I like about Pay Per Play is that they do now allow sleazy or questionable ads. They will also not play ads on websites with pornographic, illegal, or hate content.
The ads they play are five seconds long. Per survey, five seconds is long enough to leave an impression about the product, but short enough so as not to annoy one. Testing has also indicated that ads of this length do not drive visitors away. There is also the option of placing 30-second ads on certain pages, if you choose to do this. This ads of course pay more.
Why is Pay Per Play such a big deal?
Per marketing trends, the Internet is starting to replace radio and TV to a marked degree. Radio and TV advertising are not as effective as they once were. We see this when we see Internet TV and Internet “radio stations.” Also, more and more people use their iPod, cell phone, or MP3 player to play their custom music. So Radio Advertising is not as effective as it once was.
The larger advertising companies have started to realize this, and thus there is a trend toward moving the main advertising media over to the Internet.
Why do I consider that Pay Per Play might be a sleeping giant?
Pay Per Play is just starting up. They have started running their ads but they are still largely “on the runway.” They are very much in beta, and there are certain steps that still need to be taken before the full potential of the program can be unleashed.
Pay Per Play is a completely new form of marketing. But regardless, their start-up statistics are impressive. It is still in its “beginning stages.” And with these beginning stages comes of course the inevitable - controversy! So you will find plenty of online criticism of Pay Per Play, just as you will find people applauding it.
Personally I think the fact that its beginning stages could be to your advantage. This is due to the following reasons:
1. In addition to commissions for straight Pay Per Play advertising, there is also an excellent referral program.
If you sign someone else up to run Pay Per Play ads, you will receive a commission on all the ads played on their sites in the future. And if that person signs someone else up, you will receive a commission on that person’s ads as well. It is basically a three-tier referral program.
In other words, you could wind up with a lifetime residual income just by signing people up to join the program.
This referral program will not be open forever. When it closes, people will only be able to sign up as ad publishers but they will not be eligible to sign up as referrers who can earn commissions by signing up other webmasters.
That means it is a good idea to sign up now.
Remember, the percentage you get paid is a percentage of what the advertiser pays for an ad to play. It is not a percentage of what your referral receives.
The commission structure is currently as follows:
Ads played on your own sites: 25% Ads played on your referral’s sites: 5% Ads played on your referral’s referral’s sites: 5%
2. They also give commissions if you sign people up to have their own ads played on other people’s websites. In other words, you can refer people to advertise with this program and generate commissions on that as well.
3. It is free to sign up with Pay Per Play, and it only takes a couple of minutes. So really there is no risk involved.
4. One of the reasons that Pay Per Play has not yet taken off to its full potential is because there are a lot more webmasters who have signed up to run the ads, than there are ad publishers. This is because the referral program has been so popular to people like you and me!
Voice2Page (the company that runs Pay Per Play) and its affiliates are currently working on recruiting new ad publishers.
A major accomplishment in this direction was getting the recent BPA Audit completed. Getting this completed takes the brakes off of recruiting additional advertisers.
5. I did a calculation recently with my own Pay Per Play account. In a given period of time I earned about $14.00. Not very impressive, right? So then why am I promoting this?
Well, in that period of time, my referral’s ads played about once per 20 page impressions. In other words, if Pay Per Play would be at its full potential, with as many ads as there are advertisers, my commission would be about 20 times as much for that period of time ($280). This is just commissions I would earn on ads playing on other people’s websites. But there is more to it - it only reflects the traffic on sites where the PPP code has been embedded. Many webmasters (including my own referrals), have not yet placed the PPP code on their sites.
So what if, a few months or a year from now, Pay Per Play does take off? What if it even begins to replace Adsense, or TV Advertising? At that point we might find numerous companies wanting to participate in the program (which is far less expensive for them, than other advertising methods).
That would mean that anyone who thought fast at the beginning of the program will be duly rewarded.
What if you sign up 50 webmasters for the program? Depending on the traffic their sites get, you could theoretically wind up with hundreds or thousands of dollars per month in commissions, just from the ads played on their sites.
Of course there is always the possibility that Pay Per Play never pans out to what we hope it will be. And if we take the trouble of spending a few minutes signing up and promoting it now, we might kick ourselves later for wasting that 20 minutes.
But then again, what if it does take off. What if it becomes the new Adsense? Well, if that happens, I think that those of us who didn’t risk wasting those 2 to 20 minutes will be kicking ourselves a lot harder.
The fact is that Pay Per Play looks like it could become really big. If it does, those who got in early can consider themselves lucky. And if it doesn’t, nothing is really lost, as it didn’t cost anything to start off with.

Make Money Online Volume 6
The following article contains 3 effective tips for you on how to make money online by typing.
1- Quantity vs. Which is more important? Quality or quantity? If the program is offering to pay for each article you provide, then I would go for “quantity” If the program offers CPM for every submitted article, then I would go for “quality”. What if both scenarios are offered? Then you need to determine which one is more lucrative and go with that one.
2- Write Content that interests the members- Content may be the most important issue when composing a quality article. Simply stated, you need to provide content that people are interested in. 25 million people daily search on google about how to make money online, therefore these is considereed a safe niche. If you are writing articles on how to make money online, try to do that through your content. Do just that. Help them make money online.
3- Work on SEO or Search Engine Optimization for your article- Most programs that pay you to submit articles will be highly ranked on the major search engines. Instead of starting a website and working to build its page ranking, why not use one of these programs to help you receive more traffic for your article? More traffic comes more income. Most programs that pay you to submit articles to them, do not allow you to include links in your content as they consider those links as advertisement links. If your goal is to obtain back links to your own website or blog that using such programs will not be possible.
Thank you for taking the time to read this article on how to help you make money online by typing. Internet marketing can be very difficult to understand. I hope that my 3 tips will become valuble to you in your efforts to make money online.

Make Money Online Volume 5
Money articles are those that make money online, and it is possible to submit articles that both provide information to the reader and also make you money. Article submission to the top article directories is one of the best ways to make money online, particularly if you have a website that you want to promote.
This article is intended to explain to you how to make money online using article submission to publish the right type of articles that are designed to make you money. Unless you are promoting a website offering a product from which you can make money, there is little point in submitting articles to directories, because the whole point of article submission is to publicize the website URL to the readers of your article. You do that from the ‘author’s resource’ section of the article, which might be a separate box provided for the purpose or simply a paragraph added to the end of your article.
In order to be defined as such, money articles are written in a specific way to attract visitors to your website. Or let me rephrase that: to ‘A’ website. That website could be the sales page of an affiliate product you are promoting, and it needn’t be on your own website. Unlike Google Adwords, you can use the URL in your resource to lead the reader to the merchant’s sales page rather than a review or promotional page on your own website. It is possible to make money using article marketing without having a website at all.
The way to do that is write an article stating how important it is to have a product such as that you are promoting. In order to make you money articles must be convincing, and persuade the reader that they should at least have a look at this type of product. You are not permitted to use an article as a sales page, but can convince the reader that they should consider having this new product and so persuade them to click on the link provided in your resource.
In order to achieve any of that you must write the article in a specific way, so here are some tips on how to achieve that:
The Headline
In order to make money articles must have a compelling headline - I prefer ‘headline’ to ‘title’, because it is a headline designed to attract attention, and not just a simple title. Article marketing is more than just writing articles, and involves a bit of psychology designed to persuade people to actually read the article you have written.
Your headline is the first part of your article that people will read, and possibly the only part if it is listed in the Google results page for your keyword. If you submit articles they must have a good headline. Some people are surprised when they find out that articles can be listed on Page #1 on Google after they have been submitted to directories. In fact that is one of the major reasons why article submission is so important to me. I have several articles listed on Page #1, and at position #1 on the page, that bring me a lot of free traffic to my site.
The headline must be catchy and compelling. Check out the title of this article ‘Money Articles: Submit Articles and Make Money Online’.
The first part, ‘money articles’, is included only because it is a good keyword, with 300 searches a day on Google alone, and very little competition. So that can get me reads. The rest is designed to get people interested - they can make money by submitting articles. If you submit articles with good keywords and catchy headlines, then you can make money - lots of it.
The Article Body
The body of the article explains what is promised in the headline. This is where you expand on what you have promised in the headline. Money articles should not offer too much information in the body, but should instead explain the meaning of the title and give just a hint of what is promised can be achieved.
You should then offer the rest in your resource, just as I am doing now. This article is about how to learn how to write money articles, and how you can submit articles that can make money online using them. Written correctly, your article can be published in over 100 top articles directories and ezines and attract a lot of readers.
Every one of these can be directed to your website by means of your resource, which, if written correctly, will practically force the reader to make the click. I bet now you have decided to not to click on my link because I said you would! Well, that is your decision, but it costs nothing to do, and you get a free gift if you do.
Money articles can make you a fortune and article submission is an integral part of that. If you want to put preconceptions before your future wealth, then that is up to you, but nobody got rich through pride! Submit articles to article directories and add a bit of something else: that’s the way to do it!
If you want to make money articles can do that for you, and Pete can show you how without even needing a website. Forget the old gurus and join the 21st century at Article Czar - what you learn will astound you, and that's only from his free course.
